We collect the following types of information: your email address when you create an account (required for authentication); your name if you choose to provide it when claiming a portion (optional); memorial project content you create, including names, biographies, dates, and family messages; photos you upload for memorial pages; and basic usage data to improve the platform experience.

We use your information solely for the stated purposes of the Lzecher platform: to operate and improve the service, display memorial pages and track learning progress, send notifications about portions you have claimed or projects you are involved in, and communicate important updates about the service. We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the platform.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your name may be displayed on memorial pages when you claim or complete a portion. We share data only with the infrastructure providers necessary to operate the platform: Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication and database, Vercel for hosting, and Resend for transactional email delivery. These providers process data solely on our behalf and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in secured cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of any inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and request an export of your data in a portable format.
